Now Is A Great Time To Join Whitehouse First Aid & Rescue Squad

“A lot of the community, especially those new to the area, does not realize that the Whitehouse First Aid & Rescue Squad depends on volunteers. The fact is that the squad’s leadership and majority of the membership is made up of community members who donate their time and bring with them their diverse backgrounds and experience to service the four municipalities that the squad covers.”, says squad Chief Jeffrey Herzog.

The rescue squad, located on Main Street Whitehouse Station, serves the majority of Readington Township, portions of Clinton and Tewksbury Townships, and half of Lebanon Boro, running an average of 1,200 calls a year. Additionally the squad covers numerous stand-bys each year including the Quick Check Balloon Festival where they treat 200-300 patients over the three day festival.

Now is a great time to join the team at Whitehouse Rescue. The next Emergency Medical Technician course begins in early January. Perspective members who join now have enough time to be included in this class. The squad provides all necessary training and equipment, beginning with CPR and Automated External Defibrillator classes followed up with the 120 hour EMT schooling. After these basic courses are complete members may opt to participate in advanced training such as vehicle extrication, confined space, structural collapse, and water rescue. Anyone from the age of 16 or older may join.
